Hotels
Most hotels are geared up for weddings and wedding evening entertainment, they are used to running a smooth day and cater to the evening entertainment arrangements very well. We will always contact the hotel prior to the wedding and build a relationship with the event manager. Our sound system will easily cope with guest numbers from 50 to upwards of 500. Hotels are usually very strict about a midnight finish time.

Clubs and Function Rooms
Golf clubs, country clubs and function rooms are ideal for your wedding reception. The dancefloor area is often large enough to accommodate all your guests in full swing!

Listed Buildings
Sometimes there are volume restrictions and limits to the equipment we can use. Most listed buildings do not allow fog machines for example. We will always check with the venue manager before the big day.

Marquees and Outdoor Weddings
Great fun and now very popular. Modern marquees are so good they are just like being indoors. We do need a power supply and a flat surface to set-up on. Our insurance will not allow us to play actually outside with no cover at all, the British weather just cannot be trusted. Please advise if need to supply a generator, we do charge extra for this.

House Weddings
Still a little unusual, but home weddings are becoming more popular. We offer a 'lite' disco for house weddings with smaller speakers and less lights, but still really effective and great fun. Just remember to invite the neighbours!

Unusual Venues
Provided we can get power to the equipment and it is safe for all concerned, 1st Dance are happy to give anything a good go. Please let us know as soon as possible if you are planning anything unusual.
