David and Ali’s Civil Partnership 11th August 2013 Cottiers in Westend Glasgow

The Civil Partnership of David and Ali 11th August 2013 in Cottiers

On Sunday 11th August 2013, I did a Civil Partnership in Cottiers in the West end of Glasgow. where will back I start.

Davids sister Jackie, 1st approached me in January of 2013 we arranged a client meeting in the Blythswood Square Hotel, fromwe  the moment knwe first met, we all got on like a house on fire, laughing and jokingon  while eating crisps and sipping ono out lattes in the Blythswood.

We spend just over an hour talking about how David and Ali seen their ”Big Gay Wedding.” Unfortunately Ali couldnt meet us, due to work commitments.

David booked me on the spot, with in first hour of meeting both him and Jackie.

We kept intouch  throughout the build up to the Wedding, through telephone calls and Emails, even text messages, I love it when clients become friends, I feel it makes their special day more personal.

David and Jackie, had then went on to speak very highly of me, to Cottiers, as their Wedding Co-ordinator Kirsty, had passed my details on to future clients, on only the refferals,  and with out me meeting Kirsty, but I soon went into thank her and finally introduce myself.

At first David and Ali didnt want a first dance, as they unsure who would lead the dance, but eventually they decided to have  Dusty Springfield track, alot of the play-list was music that I wouldnt normally play nor some of the tracks I had’nt even thought of.

I played had artist’s from  the Eurovision such as Roger Pontare- When Spirits are calling my name, to Lordi- Hard Rock Hallelujah and Margareta Beger- Feed you my love, also more Dusty tracks, to walk like a man,  Chirpy Chirpy, Cheep cheep as well as some David Guetta and Calvin Harris, David and Ali’s final song, which went down a storm was  “I am What I am” by Gloria Gaynor.

Also Sharing the Stage with me, was Singer contestant from 2007 Xfactor and 2013 BBC the Voice  Barbra Bryceland, I had the pleasure of Hosting David and Ali’s Wedding, from announcing the Speeches, to inviting David and Ali to do the Cutting of the Cake, before going into their first waltz, after the first walts, I was honoured to invite Barbra Bryceland on the stage where she preformed for the first 45 mins, She certainly knows hows to get the crowd up and involved, she truely is a fantastic entertainer and great to work beside. I went on for around 45 mins, then Barbar came back on for aprox 30 mins, before I took to the main stage and finshed the night off, It was also pleasing to see some familiar faces from the cast of “Mrs Browns Boys dancing away.

Here is a Testimonial from Jackie, the Sister of David:

” We had the absolute pleasure of having Chris DJ at my brother’s civil partnership on 11th August 2013 and can I say that from start to finish, Chris was a consummate professional.  He has worked hard to accommodate some rather challenging requests (!) and met the challenge and delivered!  We had a fantastic experience of 1stdance and Chris helped to make the day the roaring success it was.  Please please don’t think twice about booking Chris for your event, he is now our family’s official resident DJ!”

If anyone is thinking of a Wedding venue with a difference, Id highly recommed Cottier’s,  its an old converted Church, with Pillars and Stained Glass windows, as well as the staff are so friendly.
